Circle at Zurich Airport

Zurich, Switzerland

Project Description

The Circle at Zurich Airport project is an approximately 2 million square foot mixed-use development near the Zurich Airport in Switzerland. Designed by Japanese architect Riken Yamamoto, the winner of a high-profile international competition, the facility will include a health spa with outpatient medical clinics, educational classrooms and lecture spaces, a flexible concert and convention hall, office space, space for international companies to present their products as well as their brand, and a 550-room hotel. Epsten Group is providing energy modeling for the project in support of its pursuit of a LEED-CS v2009 Platinum Certification. Our preliminary energy simulation set the minimum energy design standards for the facility’s envelope, mechanical, and electrical system components.
